BATTLEFIELDS 2017

BATTLEFIELDS TOURS Welcome to our new 2017 Battlefield Tours brochure World War One As we continue to follow the WW1 Centenary, in 2017 our focus is very much on the offensives of 1917: Arras, Messines, Passchendaele and Cambrai. However, if you are taking a battlefields tour for the first time, then we recommend our All Quiet on the Western Front tour as a good entry point. This tour covers the main battlefields of the Somme and Flanders, and on the 5-day tour also looks at Loos and Vimy Ridge. A new Walking Ypres tour takes us across Flanders Fields on foot, and a new version of Fritz and Tommy allows us to look at the war from both sides. World War Two Now in the 75th Anniversary period of WWII, in 2017 we will be travelling to Dieppe for the anniversary of Operation Jubilee, but we continue to visit all the key Second World War battlefields in Europe, from D-Day to Berlin, and beyond. Whether you enjoy seeing WWII megastructures or bunkers, want to follow the Rise and Fall of Nazi Germany, or look at tank warfare and see WWII armour, we have a broad range of tours to interest the WWII enthusiast and those wanting to learn more. Xxxxxxxx Remembering the Holocaust We must never forget the Holocaust and that dark chapter of WWII history. Understand it more on our longer tour travelling across Holocaust sites in Europe or join our new 5-day fly tour to Poland where you can visit Auschwitz and Kraków. Other Periods With an unrivalled team of Specialist Battlefield Guides we also offer tours to the battlefield of Waterloo, to walk the ground or see the annual re-enactment. In addition, we look at the struggle between Blue and Grey in the American Civil War as well as following Wellington in Spain and examining the Boer and Zulu Wars in South Africa.
